Well, this is the first design that I've presented on this forum. I would really appreciate any comments, criticisms and helpful advice you can offer.

The URL is http://www.pixelsavvydesign.com

Thanks!

Hi,

Your site is great! you may need to focus on a alternative layout in order to engage the reader to your site. A better structure will help create a site much easier to read and understand about the service you offer.

Hi Shane,

I have just viewed your site.. and its really cool. I like how the navigations button turns blue when hovered on.

Just one thing.. 'Find out how to get your site back in to shape' goes across 2 sections and looks a bit untidy.

Hope this helps

I also noticed you have 4 links on the home page all titled 'more'.

I dont think this is advisable please check point 6.1 here:

@taljit: I've added descriptive title attributes to each of the links to make them accessible. Does that satisfy the requirements for the check point?

@Natasha: Do you mean the link goes across two lines? You're probably right, I'll shorten the link.

Thanks for the input - keep the comments coming! I'm hard at work on this site and will keep making adjustments until I have it nailed.

I think it's brilliant. Just moving though the various pages, it's becomes very obvious that you've spent some time working everything out. My favorite part has to be the "What We Do" section. The various explanations of your offered services is awesome. I personally would have placed the secondary navigation (ie Overview, Web Application Development, etc.) on the left hand side to comply with the standard "F" reading pattern; but to each his own.

I do have a few (minor) gripes though:

1. On the "About Us" page, you have a section devoted to "Our Process." Would that title not be better placed out side the grey content area to make it appear more like a heading (in respect to the rest of the page)?

2. I also don't quite understand the paper crane. I mean I understand it personally, but in your design do you make any parallels towards their site and the construction of a paper crane. It's easy for most designers to make the comparison; it's quite possible I'm just being too anal though.

Once again, it's a very well done site. I don't really think you should change anything, but as you asked for opinions, I just figured I'd voice mine.

Good luck and have a nice day.

Your site is very clear, and easy to navigate but i find the colors not very appealing to the eye.

I'm not sure about the Grey lines at the top of the black banner.

I also agree with the post about the paper crane. You are called pixel savvy, i think this is great idea to play around with, may be go a bit retro in the design for example pixilated video games whilst still maintaining your slick design style. There are some amazing pixel artists out there doing incredible stuff with pixel art that is fresh and exciting.

In all it is a site that works but from a design point of view i don't find it all that visually exciting.

I hope this helps in some way.

I love your site great colors and its really inviting. However I do agree with Kirkicdesign about the grey lines at the top of the black banner they look a bit odd.
