Structurally, the basics are sound.
It might benefit from a little more breathing space between the edge of the text and the edge of their container boxes. I'm not altogether sure the colour scheme gives off the right vibe. It feels like it should be a bit more 'positive' - to put the viewer in the mood to do something rather than just let the negativity of the issue wash them away, so to speak. Perhaps muted/slightly desaturated tones of more vivid colours might, visually speaking, hit a better note, though obviously, you'll need to stop short of a colour scheme which gives off the vibe that 'everything's ok' or fun. Towards the bottom, the white on black becomes too stark, certainly as far as the white outline boxes go. I think that might work better as full-width sections, rather than inset boxes. It creates too many visual breaks. The lists mid-way down… I'd align the content of the list items - i.e. so that multiple line list items down align with the bullet image. Have the bullets hanging out and you'll increase scannability. With a charity site, it's especially important to facilitate scanning as the consequence of catching a user or missing one can, in some cases, quite literally make the difference between life and death. Anyhoo, just a few observations/suggestions, to be tried or ignored as you see fit. ;) _________________ aka 'clemi' |

I like your direction. I just had to say: WOW, what an improvement over what they had! I'm sure they will be very happy once all the details are hashed out and you've got the site live. |
