I'm more of a developer than designer, but i'd still like any comments or suggestions on this layout thus far. Thanks!

Looks fine to me, any design decisions you are wondering about?
I'm not sure I like the logo letters larger in height than the logo icon. Maybe try lining them up with the check mark. Overall everything is sort of equal in contrast, a lighter shade of grey for the background might not even hurt.

I see what you mean about the logo, i'll try a few versions with the "icon" larger and with the text smaller to see.

Theres not real design decisions that I was wondering about, just wondering how other people feel it looks as a whole.

I'm not sure red is the best color. While it may be visually appealing, I don't think it suits the situation.

The color red when associated with tasks or times gives me a feeling of urgency, lack of time, rush, late, tardy, etc. It doesn't make me feel good about my timelines.

Perhaps green or a neutral blue would conjure happier feelings if you know what I mean. ;)

Looks good. The light blue is very appealing. The background pattern is a good touch, too.

Definitely has a developer feel while still maintaining a professional look.

As long as you aren't trying to give off a strong designer feel I think you've succeeded in creating a successful and functional layout for some simple website, while making something that still looks good.

I'm not a designer, so i'm definitely not working towards a designer feel. I just want a nice, easy to use, and not ugly layout, heh. I've been so busy lately though, haven't had time to develop the site an further, hopefully i'll make a dent into it shortly.

Not sure if you changed the logo since I looked at this last, but you may want to use a real apostrophe in the logo and title tag. :)
